This belt produced almost the same finish as the 600 grit aluminum oxide belts. Again the seam is quite aggressive and is not going to provide what I would call a good finish. Used on a surface grinder we built years ago, it left chatter all over the surface. This could be a good belt, if a couple of areas were addressed.

If you don't already use the structured abrasives - you must!!!! They are great. I have had lots of problems with regular belts on the super fine grits. These work far better than normal belts and last longer. I now only use these on the 400 equivalent grit and above.

I am not sure how I got along without this before. This is absolutely wonderful for handle shaping. It allows me to make curved handle shapes without digging in and making defects that I have to later try to remove. I use the 120 grit mostly. I use it on my fixed speed 2X 72 grider but that does not seem to be any disadvantage with this slack belt. I will continue to buy these.

Here’s what happen, there was some nebula dust that conflicted with my order, but Garrett…the brand manager was Johnny on the spot and made things perfect! I’ve never had a business, ‘personally’, call me to correct an order. We all are human, and mistakes happen, but Garrett was phenomenal in getting my belts to me…and in a fast manner!! These 120grit scalloped belts will cut your work in half. They are more durable than I assumed and last longer than other brands I’ve tried. I’ll be ordering more of these and other belts from this company!!

I use these belts for secondary bevels only, at moderate speeds they are smooth and run cool requiring hardly any pressure to cut. After a couple dozen blades my first belt is still cutting great but I have a spare in stock because these are the best I have used for secondary bevels and quick touch up edges on my shop and daily carry knives.

Well to be quite honest, my order came with two items that were the wrong size. Per your website, I sent an email to maverick abrasives asking for exchange instructions and called the listed phone number. Neither answered or responded.

The combination of the A16 and the A30 gave me a better result than hand sanding to a 400 grit finish. I made a kitchen cleaver, a first effort for my grandson and wanted a better look than what I usually do for a working knife. I think it turned out pretty nice but I'll let him be the judge.
