I have always bought the bargain belts on eBay but your constant add on Facebook led me to click on your website. Not only your site easy to navigate but you’ve taken most of the problem out of choosing which belts I will need for most any knife project. Unlike an hour spent ordering from several different places on eBay Combat Abrasives has kits for the knifemaker all with a single click. I’ve never tried your aggressive belt before, the “shredder” is the best belt I’ve ever used for fast metal removable. It is rightly named!

Most of the belts worked well so far. Haven't used them long enough to judge how long they will last. My only complaint, so far, is the 220 Ceramic belt has a very bumpy joint which interferes with a smooth finish.

I was unsure about paying so much for belts but these were well worth it. The blade did not heat up as fast cut much better than my cheaper belts. If you are worried about making the leap this kit is well worth it to make up your mind.

Really impressed with the shredder belts and most of the other belts, as well. My only gripe is that I was under the impression that the belts were made in the USA. Some of them, however, clearly say made in Japan on them. Some are unknown. That part has confused me, for sure. But the performance of the belts, so far at least, has been about as good as I could have hoped for.

Forging and making knives is a shorter and far more enjoyable process when using Combat Abrasive sanding belts. I bought the $79 Kit and was pleased with the selection of belts. I was already sold on the aggressive belts but was pleasantly surprised with the ceramic J belts which made sanding blade curves and finger grooves easier Great company ... great products

I went through Combat Abrasives through a referral. A referral helps but there’s that unknown, you know.... I found out though, theses belts are not the status quo. I’ve used a variety of belts for knife making and metal fabrication. The “Combat Kit” is a must for first time buyers. It is a wide range of user friendly belt that will accommodate any enthusiasts of working with steel. They are very durable, move the metal and give you an idea where you’ll need to drill down on for future purchases. Plus, Adam is great to work with for the first time buyer. The Ceramic belts do the job and keep on doing the job. I used 1 36 grit belt to clean up the canister billet. drew out enough for those 2 little edcs and forged them to shape. Then used the SAME 36 grit to rough shape those out. The belt still looks brand new, I don't know how long it will last but I'm guessing it will be a while.

This kit was an excellent starting point for me after newly acquiring a 2x72 machine. It gives you a taste of the different abrasives, and doesn't give you too much of what you seldom use. Great kit for someone just getting started on a 2x72. I also highly recommend the full surface conditioning belt set for beginners.
